About
About Sutly
Sutly makes short, tidy links for the people who share links all day: home bakers taking orders, tuition teachers posting forms, shop owners on Instagram, wedding planners sending invites, and creators with one link in their bio.
Where the name comes from
Sutly is short for “short-ly”: links made short, simply. It also nods to the Tamil word சுட்டி (sutti), meaning a pointer, the word Tamil speakers use for a link on a web page. A Sutly link is just that: small, smart, and pointing people straight to the right place.
Why it exists
A long link full of question marks and codes looks untrustworthy, gets cut off in messages, and is impossible to type from a poster. Big link tools are built for marketing departments and charge for basics. Sutly keeps the useful parts free and simple: a short link with a name you choose, a count of who clicked, and a QR code.
Our promises
- Your links keep working. We never reuse or change a short ending once it's yours.
- Visitors stay private. We count clicks; we don't build profiles of the people who click. See our privacy policy.
- No hiding bad sites. We block known scam and malware sites, act on every report, and let anyone preview a link by adding
+to the end. - Phone first. Everything works as well on a phone as on a laptop.
How it's paid for
Ads on some pages, such as this one and your dashboard, keep Sutly free. Ads never appear between a short link and where it goes: people who open your link land straight on your page.
